I've been reading a lot lately how businesses - especially small businesses - have replaced all marketing efforts with social media.
Big mistake.
Despite popular demand, social media is not a silver bullet. It's not free and it's certainly not a replacement for your marketing dollars.
Recent surveys (I posted one here yesterday) indicate that 70% of all businesses are either losing money - or breaking even at best - with their social media budgets.
How quickly businesses have forgotten the marketing basics.
Please don't forget about your website. Update it. Write an article. Start a blog. Target specific keywords to your industry, products and services. Create a video and post it on your website.
Social media is a tool. It's not a method and it's certainly not a replacement for your firm's marketing efforts.
